When people think about Cuban cigars, usually the mental picture that phrase creates is a bunch of old guys sitting around on leather chairs puffing on thick long Cuban cigars. They sometimes might have a glass of Scotch or something on the side and they are surrounded by a huge cloud of smoke that is covering ninety percent of their face.

Cuban cigars have somewhat been a genre for men. After all, in our society if a women smokes, she is not looked upon in a favorable manner. Yes this was true in the 1800s but well we’ve come a long way since than. At least I would like to hope so. Today smoking Cuban cigars is not just limited to men but anyone who wants to give it a go.

Smoking and even Cuban cigar smoking was looked down upon when a women was doing it. It was such a ‘horrible’ mindset that people had back in the day but that didn’t stop women from giving up. In fact it was one of the most popular things among the Kings and Queens of that era. These were the guys who really promoted it to the fullest and why Cuban cigars became such a ‘wanted’ item. Women were now smoking Cuban cigars, but they were only the members of the royal family or what not.

So what finally got society to except women as Cuban cigar smokers? Believe it or not, it was Hollywood. Yes when the rich and famous and the talented started smoking Cuban cigars in the 1990s, everybody wanted to get in on it. Even women were like shocked to see other beautiful women smoke Cuban cigars. It was just a wonderful thing that was good for everybody including the genre of Cuban cigars. When the ladies in Hollywood started doing it, all the ladies wanted to get in on the craze.

Soon women started working for Cuban cigar companies and especially the companies that started marketing Cuban cigars. Women were now just as much part of Cuban cigar marketing as they were for Beer and other very famous and desired products. Women and Smoking was now cool and everyone wanted to get their hands on a Cuban cigar.
