Now, most people rent movies at least a few times a month. Normally we will wait for the DVD rentals to hit the stores, in lieu of going to the theater. Here is a short list of some of most heavily rented DVD’s in Oct. 2008.

INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL: The Indiana Jones movies are back, after a few years off. This makes four movies of the exploits of the infamous Indiana Jones. In this movie Mr. Jones it’s the cold war, and the Russians are the enemy. The Soviets are looking for ancient relics called the Crystal Skulls, which are thought to have secret powers.

THE LAZARUS PROJECT: Ben Garvey, once a bad boy criminal, is a new man now. With a beauitiful wife and daughter, and steady paycheck, he has found happiness. Then, he is fired from work, and he turns to crime for the solution. People die during an attempted robbery, and he winds up on death row. Death by lethal injection awaits. To his surprise, he regains consciousness only to find himself in a psych ward. He now fights for his sanity, and his soul.

LINEWATCH: Michael Dixon (Cuba Gooding Jr.) is a respected boarder agent in New Mexico, and life seems to be good. But Michael’s past is about to rear it’s ugly head. He grew up in a viscious L.A. gang, that he somehow got away from. When a bad twist of fate shows where he lives to his old gang leader, he and his family are in great danger. He has no choice but to take a chance, and help gang leader drake move illegal drugs from Mexico into the U.S.

DECEPTION: Jonathan McQuarry, a bored and lonely corporate auditor, has a surprising meeting with hof shof lawyer Wyatt Bose. This chance meeting is one that turns his life upside down. He is introduced to “The List”, which offers access to a sexual pleasures. But, he is driven into a scene full of deceipt, underhandidness and death.

John is exposed to “The List”, which puts you in front of a steamy sexual indescretions. Unfortunately, he is driven into a scene full of deceipt, underhandidness and murder.

THE HAPPENING: Science teacher Elliot Moore, with his wife and many other frightened people are escaping Philadelphia by train. Philadelphia has been thrown into chaos. People have been afflicted by some unknown malady, and are commiting suicide. Will mankind find an answer, or is this the last stand of man on this planet?

IRON MAN: Weapons developer, business mogal, Tony Stark is captured by insurgent fighters in Afghanastan. They try to force him to build weapons for the insurgent group. He was hurt while he was being captured, and he has shrapnel lodged in his chest. To survive his injuries, and escape his captors, he creates a suit made of armor, which makes him virtually invincible. We have a new comic book super hero on the scene.

SPEED RACER: The 1990’s television cartoon is now a movie hit. Similar to the film The Flinstones, Speed Racer chages a cartoon into a feature film with actors. Speed Racer is an ambitious young man who loves racing. His goal is to win The Crucible, one of the biggest rally races that his older brother lost his live in. Against the odds, and his families business at stake, Speed Racer partners up with his enemy of the past, Racer X, in a last ditch effort to give himself a chance to win, and keep his families racing business alive.

SPEED RACER: A cartoon from the 90’s gets real actors. Much like the movie The Flinstones, Speed Racer was a TV cartoon that was turned into a movie with real actors. Speed Racer is an ambitious young man who loves racing. His goal is to win The Crucible, a big race that had cost his brother his life. With odds against him, and everything at risk, he suprisingly teams up with his former adversary Racer X, so he can win, and keep his families racing business alive.
