We had an old whole house water treatment system that had broken and I could not drink the tap water as it gave me a severe headache so we bought bottled water. We were buying about 10 gallons a week, which cost about $10.00 per week, that is over $500.00 per year. We researched the available literature and found that 3 different systems would provide us with drinkable water for about 9.7 cents per gallon.

Our master bathroom remodel project began with removing a small tub and a window planter. The old tub is a small oval shaped tub with a window planter behind it. The window planter is in a bay window with windows on all three sides. The bathroom has some lovely pearl colored corian wall panels. It looked nice but wasn\’t very functional. We took out the small tub and the planter and this opened up space to remodel my bathroom with a large sunken bath tub.

I designed and built this Koi water garden pond after visiting Japan a number of times and admired their water gardens with Koi. The design has three ponds, the top pond is filtered by water hyacinths that float on the water, the water is crystal clear. The middle pond has a waterfall from the top pond and aerates the water. The bottom pond is the largest and holds about a 2000 gallons of water.
