The Havanese is a small dog that is native to the island of Cuba. The breed may date back to as early as the 16th century. Though considered a \”toy\” dog, Havanese are a hardy little breed that have been historically used to herd chickens and as child-friendly pets. Named for Havana, Cuba, Havanese were originally dogs of aristocratic families. This breed is known for its silky, heat-resistant coat and for its charming, family-friendly and fun personality.

The Havanese breed (also called Spanish Silk Poodle or Havana Silk Dog) was for centuries the cherished dog of Cuba. They shared homes with the nobility and were pampered as all dogs deserve to be. But after Fidel Castro came to power, both the owners and their dogs fled the country and have been subjected to the ups and downs of life as immigrants in the United States. The Havanese caught the eye of many a dog lover, not just those of Cuban descent.

You might wonder why I\’m bothering to write an article on finding a Pug puppy for sale. Everyone knows all you have to do is go to a pet store and buy a Pug puppy, along with your Pug puppy supplies, right? Wrong! Going to a pet store is the worst place you can go to find a decent Pug puppy for sale. This is because their puppies are from puppy mills, which are horrendous places full of suffering.

The cute attitude of the Pomeranian makes it a great asset within the home and to further enhance the experience of having a Pomeranian at home, it is essential to consider Pomeranian training and more particularly potty training. Along with its small size and courageousness, the Pomeranian is also an excellent watchdog. Even though it learns things easily and can be trained, when it comes to housebreaking it is not the quickest learner.

The original dogs, sometimes also called Bichon Havanais are thought to be completely extinct. The Shih Tzu is a proud and regal breed of dog that would prefer to do things their own way rather than listen to any one else, including you. You can imagine that a dog with that kind of an attitude will probably be difficult to train and that includes housebreaking.

Whenever a new puppy comes into the house, it will have to learn its boundaries as well as what the new owner expects in the way of behavior. If that new puppy happens to be Havanese training can be anywhere from fun to troublesome as these active little dogs love to play and often confuse playing with learning. However, their eagerness to make a god impression on their new owner also makes them very good students.

The Havanese breed of small dogs is possibly one of the most fun breeds to train, provided the right approach is used. They are a playful animal and if training begins while they are puppies it can go quick and easy. Consider the puppy like a small child learning what the owner expects and despite a couple of Havanese problem behaviors is willing to learn and please their owner. However, time and patience can do wonders in its training.
