Before we look at the symptoms of parvovirus in your dog lets take a look at what it is, what it does and how it is spread. Parvovirus is a virus first identified in 1978 that spread worldwide in just two years. Over the years, the virus has mutated into two distinct strains and there is evidence of a third strain in Spain, Italy and Vietnam. All cases of canine parvovirus or CPV come from the first two strains. It was originally thought that the virus would mutate into the feline panleukopenia, a feline parvovirus but this was found to be untrue. All species have their own parvovirus but it is not spread outside the species.

Your dog\’s happiness and wellbeing is directly linked to his health. An unhealthy dog may not be as happy as he should be. However, even if your dog is not in great health, if you spend good quality time with your dog on a regular basis, his happiness is almost guaranteed. Conversely, even if your dog is in peak health, if you leave him in a kennel in the backyard and rarely interact with him, he cannot be happy, because dogs are such social animals.

Dog arthritis can be caused by injury, congenital defects, or ageing. Surprisingly, injury is a major cause of arthritis in dogs, and therefore affects many younger dogs. Quite minor injuries can result in the condition. A predisposition to conditions such as hip dysplasia can cause early onset of an arthritic condition in dogs. Older dogs who have never suffered an injury are likely to develop arthritis as they age.

Being healthy is something that everyone on this planet tries to achieve. We may not actually participate in everything that we should do in order to keep our bodies healthy, but we at least think about staying healthy. How could we not with all the media that is constantly surrounding us about getting and staying healthy? However, do we ever stop to think about the one thing that loves us unconditionally and their health? Our pets give us so much including being a huge stress reliever, that we sometimes overlook keeping them healthy. One thing that we can do everyday for our animals is to give them vitamins.

For an avid dog-lover, the loss of his pet is the single most traumatic experience. If this occurs due to an illness, it becomes even more tragic. Kidney disease is one such killer. It can manifest itself in two ways. One is acute kidney disease and the other is chronic kidney disease. The former strikes suddenly whereas the latter takes effect over a period of time. Either way, the result if fatal for the canine and heartbreaking for the owner.

As an Orlando vacation resorts devotee, I can recommend all of the theme parks, but did you know the area is brimming with other excellent visitor attractions without a roller coaster in sight. Orlando is also full of lakes, parks, exhibitions, historical places, markets, shops and much more. Whilst many people that visit are first timers, more are returning for their second, third or more time as there is always something new to see.
