Well I just can\’t believe it, October 1st is only a week away. I\’m starting to realize those days of t-shirts and shorts are a thing of the past for awhile. But we did go camping, and I had to change back into those summer clothes because of the warm afternoon, then right back into something warmer around sunset for the evening campfire.

Well it\’s history, another summer come to and end, and I hope yours was a great one. We like to spend the whole month of August in our favorite north woods area, and just hang out on the lake. We take it easy swimming in our secret little places you can only get to by boat. It\’s these places we can relax and enjoy the summer far from the rat race.

The late summer days are starting to reveal what soon will be another season coming to an end. Summer evenings in the screen porch as we sat in the flicker of the candles, with ice cold sun tea. Our sunburn legs stretched across each others, listening to the sound of the loons saying good night in the bay, tired from a day of swimming and sun, are almost behind us once again.

We\’ll were just about packed and ready to go, we\’ll get the boat on the trailer this afternoon. Were sure going to miss this lake, it\’s been a whole month of water fun and now it\’s time to head on home. One more barbeque tonight , some candles, a bottle of good wine and I know it\’s not going to be easy to leave, but what are you going to do that\’s the way it always is.

The days are getting cooler and shorter now. I miss the sultry evenings with her tan legs across mine. Tired from a day on the lake, we would sit in the swing, and sip on fresh lemonade in our summer porch, with candles glowing overlooking the moonlit bay, and the sound of the loons heading off to their beds.

The lake has had hardly anyone on it this week. That could only mean one thing, people have headed home, and we\’ll have the whole lake to ourselves. The nights are much cooler and the water temp is coming down, so that tells us it\’s time to do some Walleye fishing. With this being our final week in this neck of the woods, it\’s perfect timing.
