A Chihuahua puppy can be a great choice of a family pet for many folks, as long as you exercise some caution in deciding where you will get your puppy. Pet stores will advertise, \”Chihuahua puppies for sale!\” and people will flock to the shop to get their pet. However, pet stores that sell dogs are really nothing more than a broker who is working for commercial breeders and puppy mills that are interested in nothing more than taking your money for a substandard dog. These places do not care about breeding animals that are healthy or well socialized. Purchasing a dog from a pet store is simply asking for trouble.

When searching for Chihuahua puppies for sale be sure to check with the National Kennel organizations first. Searching the Internet is another good idea when looking for Chihuahua puppies, but be sure and check out the sources very carefully. Educating yourself on Chihuahua puppies will help you understand the breed and locate a reputable breeder. When you choose a breeder make sure your Chihuahua puppy has its AKC papers and shots. He should also be wormed and have a generous health guarantee. Finally, be sure your breeder gives you a sample of dog food for your new puppy.

Puppies can be a lot of fun and the toy breeds can especially be a lot of fun. But there are things you should know and things you should be aware of when you are raising your Chihuahua pup that can help you make your life easier and the pup\’s life easier too. Always be aware of your pup and continually do research on ways to improve your pup\’s life, the things you can do to improve it\’s behavior and also ways help improve the interaction between yourself and your dog.

Any good breeder will tell you that a new dog, regardless of the breed, is going to experience its fair share of problems. Chihuahuas are no different and Chihuahua problems can be caused by genetics as well as behavior and are usually a reaction to the environment around them. You should do some research into the varied types of problems you may encounter with a Chihuahua, as knowing in advance what the problems may be may help you from making a mistake.

The most common Chihuahua problem behaviors are aggression, barking and having housebreaking issues. The first two are serious problem behaviors ? the third is more of a nuisance than anything else. When you get a Chihuahua puppy from a pet store, your dog will be guaranteed to have all three of these problems, as pet store puppies are not socialized or trained in any way.

Chihuahua potty training is something that every owner seems to fear if they have not gone through this process before. While it seems that there isn\’t a lot that a little Chihuahua can mess up with the little amount that they can hold, many people fear the fact that they cannot hold their bladders for very long because of their size and that Chihuahua training will be very difficult. But while some of that may be true, there is no reason why this training period has to be a stressful time.

The Chihuahua breed has a long and distinguished history as a dog. The breed originally came from the ancient Techichi breed of dog that belong to the Toltec Civilization near Mexico City. This ancient breed of dog was larger than today\’s modern breed and was also mute. The breed became a sacred icon of the upper class members of society and as a religious symbol when they were used in ceremonies to help guide dead spirits after the Aztec empire conquered the Toltecs.

After first being discovered in the 1850s in Mexico, the Chihuahua was first registered with the American Kennel Club in 1904. The breed is named after the Mexican state Chihuahua in which they were found, a region that borders Texas and New Mexico. However, this isn\’t where the breed originally came from. Rather the breed comes from the ancient Techichi breed of dog that belonged to the Toltec Civilization near Mexico City.

The name of the Chihuahua comes from the Mexican state that is located next to west Texas and New Mexico, but the breed actually came from the ancient Techichi dogs of the Toltecs when they were crossed with a hairless dog from the Orient. Indigenous to Central America Techichi dogs were a heavy-boned small dog that had a long coat. The modern day Chihuahua is smaller than the Techichi and the original breed was mute. When the Aztecs conquered the Toltecs the dogs became a sacred icon of the upper class society and was used in religious ceremonies to help guide the spirits of the dead.

There is almost no mandatory dog training exercise that is more frustrating than housebreaking. A Chihuahua presents its own special set of problems mostly because Chihuahuas hate any weather that is not sunny and warm. Because of their toy breed size many people will turn to Chihuahua paper training as the answer for their Chihuahua bathroom problems and this should be part of the process and not the entire answer. Paper should be a last resort and it should not be given to the dog as its only option.

Chihuahuas hate wind, rain, and cold weather. They are also very stubborn little dogs that would much rather do what they want to do as opposed to what you want them to do. A Chihuahua also takes itself very seriously which means the decisions a Chihuahua makes are important to it even if that means deciding to not be housebroken because it is too cold outside. Because of the difficulty in housebreaking a Chihuahua many owners resort to Chihuahua litter box training rather than housebreaking the dog.

The American Kennel Club standard for the Chihuahua breed is that they should be almost square in appearance, although the standard tolerates a slightly longer body for the female dog for the purpose of reproduction. The most important part of the American Kennel Club standard for the Chihuahua is that the skull be apple shaped with a tail that is carried very high and being of moderate length.
