They do not have problems with tree roots as vinyl liners do in pools. Places such as California should not use concrete as a choice for pools with all their earthquakes.

There are limits to the choices you have though since fiberglass swimming pools come in the preformed type shapes. They do come in a wide range of colors sizes, even depths. You can choose where you entrance steps are located at. The concrete and vinyl lined pools have a bit more of a variety as far as design goes. Do some deliberation on what style and shape you want the pool designed before considering what you are going to use to mold it from.

Fiberglass swimming pools are not good in real cold climates. You have to keep them partially filled with water at all times and in real cold climates you cannot do this. So in states like Michigan you may need to use concrete of the vinyl liners for pools. Check with your local pool store to know which to use.

To prepare for installation of your pool you need to first pick a location for the pool. One thing to think about is ease of getting to the bathroom from outside. Choose an area of the yard convenient to the door of your house. Mark and dig the hole according to the specifications of the pool’s shape and depth.
