In many instances and studies, it has been concluded that communication between doctors and patients is a common complication that is experienced. One of the main reasons that this occurs is because of the fact that the doctors who work in an emergency room setting do not develop long term working relationships with the individuals who visit their facilities. This can account for a break down in communication. Here, I will be sharing ways on how to improve communication between emergency doctors and patients.

When it comes to communication level, the most important thing you must bear in mind that, the doctor or the patient has their own “tone of voice”. The patients “tone of voice” is something which often uses terms, phrases and descriptions in a very formal style. They will often try to convey something about their feelings and body conditions which they experience in their routine life. And when it comes to the “tone” of doctors, it consists of an objective attitude which is fabricated based on some knowledge which they experience in the medical field. So these are the two types of voice levels which can breakdown the communication easily.

An individual person goes to the emergency room to meet with a doctor, on the notion that these professionals are educated in their field and can assist them quickly and effectively. The emergency doctor, in turn, often walks in confidence when it comes to their skills and abilities. When approached with a specific issue, the doctors will offer scientific based conclusions to the patient.

In many instances, patients will actually find that they are sometimes over powered by the expertise of the doctor and that they are not valued when it comes to the actual communication levels. When attempting to improve the communication between emergency doctors and patients, it is important to ensure that both parties feel as if they are valued and that their opinions matter.

So these are some of the common reasons, why there is a communication problem among patients and doctors. These are not the only problems; there are even some other kind of problems which can be resolved by making some decisions, to build a healthy relation between a doctor and a patient.

As you can see, there are many different reasons why communication between emergency doctors and patients is often burdened. However, just as there are many problems that occur with this type of working relationship, there are also many resolutions that can be put into place in order to establish better communication between emergency doctors and patients.
