Customers keep a business alive. If you want to have a successful business then you have to build good relationships with your clients so they come back to you over and over again. In this article I will show you creative ideas to give back to the people who keep your business going. Giving first has to be your focus to begin with.

My goal in everything I develop, whether it be articles, blogs, teleseminars, newsletters or any product or service, I try to give you as much value that I can jam in as possible. Building a relationship with you is what is my number one focus, and it has to be yours too.

How can you do that for your customers when your on a limited budget?

Number one, why don’t you create an on-line newsletter?

I used to have one myself that I published once a month called Insider Ideas. You could (and still can) sign up for it for absolute free and when you do, you’ll find in those newsletters I just share and give as much value as I can. Typically they’re 15 to 20 pages long. I pour everything I can in to those newsletters. They take a lot of time, but I am trying to constantly give as much value as I can. I always get testimonials from people expressing their gratification for how much I truly give in those newsletters.

Another easy one which is actually what I shifted my newsletter to is to develop a blog. For those of you who are unfamiliar with what a blog is, it’s basically like an on-line journal. But you can use it in a variety of different ways. You can use it, actually, as a platform for your on-line newsletter and this is exactly what I did. The great thing about blogs is that you can make the entries much shorter if you want and it is easier to correspond with your customer base much more often.

Sites like Wordpress and Blogger allow you to develop blogs for absolutely free. They are super easy to use and you can customize your blogs any way you want, and again they are free!

You can go to my blog at www.myideaguy.com to see an example of one and sign up for free there.

It is a great example of developing an on-line blog or an on-line newsletter, and providing lots and lots of value.

Another way you can develop relationships with your customers is by providing teleseminars. But you’ve got to focus on one thing: providing high-value content that people can take away and get something from.

If people are taking their time to listen to your call they don’t want to have to sit through a call thats uninteresting and dull. You have to make it interesting and fun - I love using contests to spice things up.

You can have a contest for anything - I’ve had everything from naming a new product or service I just developed to testimonials contests and creative idea contests. Your calls should always be packed with information, engaging and make it fun. When making it fun, always remember to remain focused on providing valuable information and being of service to your costumers.

There they are! I’ve outlined really great, and cost effective, methods that you can start using today to build better relationships with your costumers and even potential customers.
