There is probably not one person that has never heard of mountain biking! However, extreme mountain biking is different; it is a more intense form of mountain biking. Not only is it more intense, but it is also far more strenuous on the body. However, it is still really gaining in popularity! When it comes to extreme mountain biking, it is like normal biking; however, you go up much steeper, higher and tougher hills as well as over a rougher terrain. It is most definitely not all relaxing! In fact, you must stay in shape as it is harder on the body than regular mountain biking!

Mountain bikes come in various types and they can be very expensive. So, before you buy one, it is better to decide on your spending capacity rather than exceeding your budget. A sensible option would be to approach a bike shop in your vicinity as they can give you a better bargain in terms of service as well as quality. Large stores like Wal-Mart might not prove very satisfactory in this respect.
